Direct Income Tax Specialist (PE-12606)

Our multinational client is a global provider of advanced catalyst solutions for chemicals industries seeking a colleague for an Direct Income Tax Specialist position.

Key responsibilities:

• Assist with analysis and filing of Non-US income tax filings, and other income tax submissions to ensure timely and accurate compliance.
• Maintain global income tax compliance calendar and ensure proper tax treatment of transactions across multiple jurisdictions.
• Reconcile income tax payable and deferred tax accounts, support month-end, quarterly, and year-end close activities, and maintain required documentation.
• Assist with income tax reporting compliance and controls from a US GAAP reporting perspective.
• Monitor country income tax legislation and impact on company operations and ensure ongoing compliance.
• Assist with income tax audits and correspondence by gathering documentation and assisting with coordination of external advisors and internal stakeholders.
• Identify potential tax exposures and recommend corrective actions to mitigate risk.
• Assist with maintaining internal controls and documentation to support compliance and audit readiness.
• Provide assistance on tax treatment of certain intercompany transactions and transfer pricing documentation requirements.
• Assist with new business initiatives, system changes, and operational projects by evaluating income tax implications.
• Assist with planning and continuous improvement activities
• Support ERP tax configuration and automation initiatives to enhance compliance and reduce manual effort and improve efficiencies for income tax reporting.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
• 4 to 6 years of experience in income tax and transactional tax requirements within a corporate and public accounting environment. Candidates should have experience in both environments.
• Experience with non-US income tax and tax compliance for various locations (i.e. EU, Middle East, and Asia for example)
• Experience working with SAP is required.
• Proficiency in Excel.
• Strong analytical skills, diligence, and ability to manage multiple deadlines.
• Ability to be flexible with working hours.
• Ability to speak in various languages (ex. French, Spanish, Dutch, etc.) with ability work 100% in English if needed.

Preferred:

• Experience working with OneSource income tax provision is a plus.
• Experience with Netherlands, or other Europe, and Middle East income tax filings is a plus.
• Experience supporting manufacturing or industrial organizations.
• Experience with tax automation tools (e.g., OneSource, Avalara, or similar).
