UNHCR - Finance Assistant-UN Fleet (PE-12243)
The Finance and Accounting Associate processes financial transactions and provides technical support to peers and supervisor.
· Creates lease contracts, ensuring accurate entry of asset and payment data, proper accounting treatment and correct invoicing.
· Issues invoices to customers, uploads and creates invoices and credit notes in the integrated financial and accounting system, monitors and processes incoming deposits and open items on daily basis;
· Regularly reviews transactions, prepares Excel files for reporting;
· Monitors customer orders and takes timely and appropriate action;
· Enters subledger and general ledger journal entries; performs regular period-end closing tasks;
· Prepares reconciliation reports to ensure alignment between subledgers and the general ledger;
· Provides assistance to customers, peers and supervisor;
What you need to have:
-- Experience with financial transactions (accounts receivables, assets, accounts payables or general ledger);
-- Experience in using ERP systems (Oracle, Navision, SAP or similar);
-- Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerBI, with strong analytical and data visualization skills;
-- Strategic thinking with the ability to interpret complex financial data and identify trends;
-- Hands-on experience in preparing reviewing and analyzing financial transactions and drafting comprehensive financial reports; Experience and ability to handle and analyze large volume of financial data with accuracy;
Experience with accounting and / or lease accounting is considered an advantage. A proactive, hands-on personality, team worker with excellent communication skills and customer focused attitude.
