PHP Software Engineer (Security focus) - (LE 11883)
What are some of the exciting challenges you will be working on?
Security Development:
• Research, identify, and implement measures of new and existing products and services.
• Improve analytics for abuse detection, enhance AI capabilities for abuse detection, and ensure the activation of critical safety features in our products/platforms in addition to the existing safety measures.
• Integrate additional threat intelligence tooling into the software stack.
• Conduct risk assessments with existing frameworks to identify potential threats and vulnerabilities.
• Propose and implement mitigation strategies to address identified risks and ensure the overall safety of the software.
Support the team
• Participate in the buildout of automated solutions for responding to customer RFx, RPFs and security questionnaires.
Incident Response
• Collaborate with incident response teams to analyze and respond to security incidents promptly.
• Implement proactive measures to prevent future incidents and enhance the resilience of our systems.
Quality Assurance and Testing
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans and automated tests to validate the security and trustworthiness
Collaboration and Communication
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, Product Managers, and UX/CX to deliver exceptional safety and trust features on time.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders to convey complex security concepts and requirements.
What does it take to work with us?
• Background in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field.
• Experience as a Software Engineer with a focus on security, safety, and trust
• Strong understanding of cryptographic principles and secure storage mechanisms.
• Familiarity with authentication protocols, access control, and identity management.
• Experience with security audits, vulnerability assessments, and incident response.
• Ability to design and implement solutions following security industry best practices, standards, and compliance frameworks.
• Proficiency in programming languages, including PHP and C#, and a willingness to learn skills and technologies necessary to complete our goals.
• Good problem-solving skills, team player, and can-do attitude.
• Ability to communicate comfortably with different stakeholder groups with different backgrounds and technical understanding.
• Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
It’s great, but not required:
• Certifications in cybersecurity (e.g., CISSP).
• Experience with threat intelligence platforms.
• Experience with API abuse detection platforms like Akamai’s or Cloudflare’s Volumetric Abuse Detection solutions
• Experience with penetration testing and ethical hacking.
• Experience working with global teams.
