We are expanding our international Expenses team in Hungary and are looking for a detail‑oriented Expense Analyst to support accurate, policy‑compliant processing of employee expense reports and provide high‑quality assistance to colleagues across the business.
On a daily basis:
• Review, validate, and process employee expense claims in our expense claim system in line with company policies, approval frameworks, and internal controls.
• Ensure compliance with local legislation, taxation rules (including VAT/GST), and company financial policies.
• Perform accurate checks on receipts, currency conversions, account coding, and cost centre allocation.
• Identify errors, duplicate claims, or non-compliant expenses and take appropriate corrective or escalation action.
• Meet agreed service levels, balancing processing speed with accuracy and quality.
• Respond to employee and approver queries, providing clear and practical guidance on expense policy requirements.
• Work closely with Finance, Tax, Payroll, and Audit teams to support internal and external audits.
• Monitor trends and recurring issues, recommending process or system improvements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives related to expense systems, processes, and policies.
Skills & Experience:
• Experience in expense processing, expense processing systems, accounts payable, or a similar finance operations role.
• Good understanding of expense compliance, audit requirements, and financial controls.
• Knowledge of VAT/GST and employee expense taxation across multiple jurisdictions.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy, with the ability to handle high transaction volumes.
• Strong organisational skills and the ability to meet deadlines and service levels.
• Confident communicator, able to explain policies and decisions clearly and professionally.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel; experience with finance systems required.
• SAP knowledge is advantageous
