Our client is a prestigious multinational company with worldwide presence, for which we look for a Compliance Manager.

As a Compliance expert you will support the company’s Regional Ethics & Compliance program in EMEA and will assist with driving understanding and adherence to the company’s global compliance program. You will be responsible for the day to day running of projects initiated at the local or corporate level and support the EMEA Regional Ethics & Compliance Officer (RECO) and the EMEA Senior Compliance Manager.

What you’ll be doing:

• Conducting anti-corruption and other due diligence activities on third parties with whom the company wishes to contract
• Supporting merger & acquisition (M&A) due diligence and integration activities
• Drafting, developing, implementing and maintaining the company’s compliance policies, procedures, notices and guidelines, as well as those of individual clients
• Assisting with planning and executing EMEA Regional Compliance Committee meetings and managing initiatives flowing from committee meetings
• Participating in the design, development, coordination and delivery of compliance training programs across the region to both internal and external audiences
• Driving, developing and implementing global compliance activities, projects and strategies
• Managing key stakeholders to ensure their support of and alignment with the global compliance program’s objectives and requirements
• Monitoring developments in regional regulatory and legislative change and best practices and advising the wider organization on necessary organizational changes required
• Driving awareness and accountability throughout the organization toward greater business transparency and reinforcing trust from customers, business partners and consumers
• Managing outside counsel retained to advise the company
• Assisting with the regular review and evaluation of compliance processes to guarantee best practice across all areas of the organization ensuring appropriate monitoring and auditing processes are effectively implemented

What you need to have:

• Legal assistant degree or equivalent qualification from an accredited college or university required
• 2+ years of experience as junior lawyer/ legal assistant / paralegal, focusing on compliance and ethics desired
• Fluent English skills + MS Office advanced skills
• Knowledge of statutory requirements and best practices in the areas of anti-corruption compliance, third party due diligence, and M&A diligence and integration, desired
• Ability to balance legal risks with commercial needs
• To be an excellent communicator who can communicate effectively with people at all levels within our organization and our clients, both orally and in writing
• Ability to multitask with rapidly changing priorities and to manage multiple tasks in a dynamic environment
• Self-starter and able to work independently
• Capable of operating within an international environment with a diversity of cultures across multiple time zones
• Possess analytical problem solving, attention to detail, and project management skills
