Our Client is a multinational and prestigious company. To their continuously expanding team in Budapest we are looking for a Center of Excellence Head.

Tasks and responsibilities:

Implement global HR process while taking into consideration local business & legal environment / need. Increase the effectiveness of the HR processes by possible digitization. To define strategy for compensation, benefits, talent management, legal compliance, formulate process and policies, deploy process improvements. Ensure fair and transparent compensation systems across the organisation. Ensure legal compliance across the organisation. Manage the COE team.

• Digitization
o Assess other HR process which can be digitized and drive HR digitization agenda based on the local business and legal needs, e.g. clearance process, time and attendance system, employee data records, employee experience etc., make recommendations and after approval implement the digitized process
o Coordinate and engage the relevant stakeholders in the digitization process
• HR Policies and Processes
o Implement and/or taylor global HR process in a way that they meet local business needs
o Actively participate in creating new policies and processes based on need
• Reporting & HR Controlling
o Prepare different analysis (CTC, overtime, sick leave, attrition etc.) and share those with different stake holders (business, HRD etc.) for possible process improvements
• Legal Compliance
o Ensures that the HDGC people processes (including documentations, practices, policies) are 100% compliant with the Hungarian Labour Code and other relevant legislations
o Ensures that the HR team is prepared for requirements of the Hungarian and European data protection acts
• Compensation and Benefits
o Sustain and further enhance the implemented compensation process which is in line with the company’s Global Guidelines and also takes into consideration the HGDC requirements. Ensure training of the HR Business Partners Team for this process and ensures a smooth implementation of it through the HR Business Partners Team and ensure transparency
o Benchmarking of company’s Hungarian Compensation and Benefits strategy to ensure a market competitive Remuneration package which is in line the HGDC strategy and also creates a motivating atmosphere for the associates.
o Review the quarterly salary review, annual salary review and variable pay budgeting and calculations
o Guide the work of the Compensation and Benefits Specialist(s)
• Talent Management
o Create a strategy/action plan which ensures that the Performance Management Process (SPEED) and Talent Management Processes are understood by all parties and utilized to the maximum level with best possible quality.
o Create and implement a transparent promotion process, train the HRD Team for this process and ensures a smooth implementation of it through the HRD Team
o Guide the work of the Performance and Talent Management Specialist(s)
• Employee Experience and Engagement
o Coordinate employee satisfaction measurement (PULSE) process and ensure that the results are discussed and followed up effectively in Hungary GDC
o Participate in benchmarking activities and based on the result, make recommendations for action plan to increase retention, and ensures that HRD related actions are implemented
o Conceptualize and ensure implementation of the Rewards and Recognition programs
o Guide the work of the Engagement Specialist(s)
• General Management and Leadership responsibilities
o Leading the COE Team
o Coaches the team members based on need and ensures that they are having deepest possible knowledge about their own responsibility area
o Runs the performance management process for the COE Team members
o Behaves as role model for the team and represents company values through actions
o Prepares COE strategies and annual budget calculations for the COE Team
• Other tasks, responsibilities
o Participating in meetings and trainings, including external conferences as well and implement learnt best practices
o Participating in and providing information, data for audits when needed
o Run communication and information sharing sessions in the above mentioned topic based on need for the relevant audience (e.g. managers, all employees etc.)
o Other tasks that are related to the COE Head position and are assigned by the Head of HR Hungary
o Back up COE and other HR colleagues based on the HR team’s back up plan


Professional skills:

• College or university degree
• Good knowledge of MS Office tools (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
• Min. 3 years’ previous experience in HR Business Partner or equivalent role
• Solid understanding of Compensation practices
• Solid understanding of Hungarian Labour Code

Language skills:

• Fluent oral and written English
