Operating, maintaining, and improving GoTo’s database infrastructures in production environments and in staging and test environments as well.
Understanding the risks of working in a live, 24×7 production environment while also providing On-Call (24/7) coverage based on the defined schedule.
Designing hybrid-cloud and/or cloud-based solutions. Working with architects and security experts to ensure services are secure.
Anticipating operational problems by monitoring system performance and studying operating targets, while recommending, influencing and implementing solutions to operational problems.
Continuously documenting processes for an expanding infrastructure.

What We’re Looking For

As a Senior Database Engineer, your background will look like
Strong knowledge in MS SQL Server (T-SQL, stored procedures and functions) and optimization experience (query plan, index usage).
Experience in developing large, heavy loaded and complex databases and database performance optimization.
Ability to collaborate with others to understand requirements, develop solutions, coordinate with other teams and deliver solutions that meet business needs.
Experience with Cloud technologies such as AWS/Azure/Oracle Cloud is a plus.
