Backend Development Manager (Java) (KA-11370)
Backend Development Manager (Java) is accountable for delivering high-professional IT application service and support assigned to their team or area. This role applies the combined professional skills, technical and leadership expertise so that, working with the teams, they provide solutions to best support the business. This role is responsible for delivery of web based application development, operation and automation for cross-functional areas. The person in this role will have responsibility for leading, managing, developing and motivating a team of 10 to 20 developers and engineers in some cases, business analysts.
This roles requires to lead team of resources (internal/consultants or local/remote) in project delivery and support environments and in addition manage strategic integration partners and their delivery / operational requirements.
-Lead a team of resources (internal/consultants or local/remote) as direct and matrix reporting relationships in project delivery and support environments.
-Strong cooperation with strategic integration partners.
-Build DevOps strategy – including CI/CD Pipeline and multiple tool ownership.
-Build Development teams and functions for new areas / bring knowledge in-house.
-Work and lead in multiple geographies, ensuring processes are implemented, enhanced, and supported and aligned with both IT and business leaders requirements and expectations within the defined functional stream.
-Recommend and prepare documentation on best practices, business procedures, reporting, configuration and master data maintenance that can be handled by the helpdesk, super user or second level IT support organizations.
-Lead the assessment of the technical and economic feasibility of proposed analytical solutions and provides appropriate recommendations based on industry trends, internal benchmarking, and vendor relationships.
-Lead and contribute to establishing service metrics and monitoring the system for performance, availability, resource productivity, quality of deliverables, service and license management.
-Execute performance appraisal for his/her team members.
-Evaluate skillset of the team members and define training plan.
-Assign incoming work requests to team members and follow up the progress on a daily basis.
-Participate in Recruitment process.
-Provide technical guidance to coach and mentor junior staff to build technical expertise and share knowledge.
-Ensure individual and team compliance with all AGCO policies and procedures including Sarbanes Oxley, IT and Security. -Follow established governance processes and standards.
What You Will Bring
-Extensive web development experiences (HTML, scripting languages)
-5+ years of development experience with Spring Boot, Java 8+
-2+ years of leading experience
-Test automation experience
-Agile advocate – preferably SAFe
-Detailed understanding of the business areas supported by the systems is required to ensure solutions meet true business needs and requirements
-Business fluency in English

-Experience working with Microservices and AWS – huge advantage
-RDBMS / non-relational DB experience
-Global company experience
