ServiceNow Platform Architect (GDN-11258)
Responsibilities
– Consult with customers and prospects to understand their application development needs and current pain points and evangelize the business value of rapid application development on the platform.
– Demonstrate to customers and prospects the experience of developing and extending applications on the ServiceNow platform
– Design the Solution to meet customer needs and Develop application prototypes on the ServiceNow platform
– Answer questions and provide guidance to Solution Consultants in the field regarding application customization and development
– Contribute to programs that enable Solution Consultants to demonstrate the value of developing applications on the ServiceNow platform
– Scope and develop application development Proof of Concepts/prototypes with prospective customers
– Be the platform subject matter expert at executive briefings, workshops, Architecture Board meetings and marketing events
– Work closely with Product Management on upcoming releases and provide feedback from customer interaction
– Interact with the ServiceNow community as a thought leader on developing and extending applications on the ServiceNow platform
Requirements
– Understanding of an agile work environment and able to work inside Scrum-based (or similar) projects
– Experience with application development lifecycle frameworks and tools
– Fluency in third party integrations using web services(SOAP and REST), JDBC, and file-based parsers
– Experience with working or developing with JavaScript – HTML, Jelly Script, jQuery, Ajax, backbone.js, Node.js, Prototype and AngularJS
– Overall IT experience of minimum 8 years with at least 4 years experience with developing applications on the ServiceNow platform with fluency in both server and client side programming constructs and features, or 4 years experience with developing applications on other cloud based web application platforms
– At least 2 years of working as ServiceNow Platform Architect or customer facing sales related experience
– Functional comprehension of SQL, database, Linux OS, Security and Networking concepts
– Experience in Administration of a ServiceNow instance including the management of users, groups, roles, CMS/ Service Portal Development, ACLs, Business rules, Workflows/Flow Designer, UI actions, UI policies, Scoped Application Development and Catalog items, Orchestration and Discovery(using MID Server) experience a plus
– ServiceNow Certified Application Developer and/or ServiceNow Certified Implementation Specialist certifications are a plus
– ServiceNow Service Portal micro-certifications is a plus
– Strong written and verbal English communication skills
